William and Anne's granddaughter Rebecca married Chartres Brew, and their granddaughter Alice married Richard Brew. Richard and Chartres were first cousins; not only were their fathers, Richard and Tomkins Brew, brothers (sons of Richard Brew and Ellinor O'Brien), but their mothers, Ellen and Jane Chartres, were sisters (daughters of John Chartres of Clonderalaw).
